Welcome to Mudsock
The Mudsock Youth Cheer program is open to youth in grades K-6th. Our cheer squads support the Mudsock Youth Football tackle divisions during the Fall Football Season. The program is designed to teach fundamental cheer skills that athletes can build on throughout their years in the Youth Cheer program.
As a 5th and 6th graders, the girls have the option to try out for a Rec+ cheer squad, which supports the Junior Royals and/or the Junior Tigers football programs.
Registration for 2027 fall cheer opens May 1st at myathletics.com. Offered to athletes in K-6th grade.

2026 Fall Recreational Cheer
2025 - 2026 Board Members
The Mudsock Youth Cheer recreational league is open to cheerleaders in grades K-6th grade. The cheer squads support the 4th grade and 5th/6th grade tackle divisions of the youth football league during the fall football season. The league is designed to teach sideline cheer skills that participants can build on throughout their years in the youth cheer program.

Uniforms
Please note that uniforms are included with your registration. Please use the size guide below to order the size of uniform you wish your child to receive. Uniforms, bows, and poms will be distributed at the first practice. If your child’s uniform does not fit correctly, please work with other parents for a possible trade. The Cheer Board will have a limited number of extra uniforms that can be swapped on a first-come, first served basis in cases where the uniform is unwearable due to size miscalculations.
Junior Royals and Junior Tigers Rec+ Cheer 2026
Mudsock Youth Cheer is excited to explore a new opportunity for 5th and 6th grade athletes in 2026: Junior Royals and Junior Tigers Rec+ Cheer!
This program is designed for athletes who are looking for a step beyond traditional sideline recreation cheer. Participants will build skills in motions, jumps, stunts, dance routines, and performance while being part of a fun, team-oriented experience. This is not an all-star or competitive cheer program, and previous cheer experience is not required to try out.
Interested Athletes
Athletes will be selected through a tryout process and placed on one of two teams based on the intermediate school they attend:
- Junior Royals: HSE Intermediate/Junior High (HIJH) and Fall Creek Intermediate
- Junior Tigers: Riverside Intermediate and Sand Creek Intermediate
All interested athletes will attend a two-day clinic prior to tryouts, currently anticipated for early to mid-July. Athletes will cheer at travel football games from August through October, with most games taking place on Saturdays throughout the Indianapolis area. Families will need to provide transportation to the games.
Athletes who are already registered for traditional rec cheer are welcome to try out for Rec+. If selected for a team, their registration will be transferred to the Rec+ program.

Interested Coaches
We are also seeking head coaches and assistant coaches who are excited to help launch this new program. Coaches will be assigned to the team that corresponds with the intermediate school attended by their athlete participant (if applicable). If you want to play a key role in building this program from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.

Completing an interest form does not commit you to participating or coaching. Because this is a new offering, your feedback will help us determine whether there is enough interest to move forward with two squads and how best to structure the program.
